Happy Independence days……..
So….
The tradition for my husband and I have on and around the 4th is to head to the movies, this year was no exception.We saw In & Out part 2 by the way we loved part 1 if you haven’t seen it definitely do. The sequel is good some of my pet peeves with it was the lack of the family representation in the second part.I know this one was about childhood moving into adulthood but parents you are still the best authority figure in your child’s life right up until the high school graduation so, don’t let go of the reins.

The next movie we saw was Sound of Hope. The story is about a preacher and his wife finding hope in the lives of hopeless children in a little town in East Texas by adopting children out of foster care. It was an amazing story based on the focus of God’s definition of stewardship and not just sitting back letting the machine of systems take on responsibilities but engaging in the daily experiences with our own blood, sweat and tears. And then Horizon: An American Sage all I can say about this movie is I want my 3 hours back!!!!!!
This movie was so disjointed and factionalized I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to be watching a soap opera or a Kubrick space odyssey neither of which was what I signed on for…..I watched in absolute boredom as women were exploited and every other group of hard working men and women were denigrated but no one was unscathed by the complete lack of reality. Please if you value your time don’t go see this movie and more than that don’t go see the next one let’s show the power of the dollar by rejecting this awful waste of time and money, Shame on you Kevin, you have been given many blessing we the movie going public deserved a better showing of support for our American traditions.
So go see great movies!
