From Thoughts To DNA
June 19, 2017 Jenna Easterling

“ ‘God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind’ (2 Tim. 1:7). Breakthrough neuroscientific research is confirming daily what we instinctively knew all along: What you are thinking every moment of every day becomes a physical reality in your brain and body, which affects your optimal mental and physical health. These thoughts collectively form your attitude, which is your state of mind, and it’s your attitude and not your DNA that determines much of the quality of your life.”

— Dr. Caroline Leaf, Switch On Your Brain

The connection between the mind and the body is powerful, as stated above and as we well know at Stretch 4 Life. On occasion, we see clients who need help with some form of physical pain or discomfort, and while they progress very well physically, the pain or discomfort persists. Sometimes, this means there is a deeper physical problem that another medical practitioner is better equipped to assess and treat, but most often we have found that the problem is actually mental. Not in the sense that the problem is faked or unreal. It is, in fact, very real. Just so, it is mental in the sense that this client is trapped in a thought pattern of pain (anger, fear, depression, etc.), which affects them physically.
For years, there was not much S4L could do to help these clients except refer them elsewhere and hope they could receive the mental healing they so desperately needed in order to heal physically. As of October 2016, this no longer became the case. We now have hope for mental healing in our very own clinic with the S4L NeuroStretch program! This program works to help both the mind and body simultaneously through massage and one-on-one (or group) sessions with our Life Coach, Paola Saibene. We have seen great success with this program so far and are encouraged by the results.

Our S4L NeuroStretch program currently offers 3 options:
— One-time Brain Detox session
— Six-week Brain Detox Program (solo or with a group)
— Advanced Coaching (working on career goals/performance)
